FrontSeat Advertiser Terms & Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Who we are
FrontSeat Technologies (“FrontSeat”, “we”) runs smart tablets in rideshare vehicles in Metro Vancouver. Advertisers and community participants (“you”) use our advertiser portal to run content on those screens. Ads are visual only (tablets play muted) and can be targeted by signals like location, time of day, and weather. These terms cover your use of the portal and our screens.
Accounts
Access is currently by invitation. Your account is tied to the email your invite was sent to. Keep your login private, give us accurate information, and stick to one account per person or organization unless we agree otherwise. You must be at least 19, or use the account on behalf of a business.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload. By submitting, you confirm you have the rights to all of it, including any faces (your own, or written permission for anyone else's), logos, images, and text, and you give us permission to display it on our screens, to convert and resize files so they play well on our hardware, and to photograph or record your content as it appears in vehicles for reporting and for FrontSeat's own marketing, credited to you where practical.
Content rules
Our screens face a captive audience in someone's car, so the bar is “comfortable for anyone in the back seat.” Not allowed: political or advocacy content; alcohol, cannabis, gambling, or pharmaceutical content except with our prior written approval and any required regulatory clearances; anything sexually explicit, violent, hateful, or harassing; misleading claims or impersonation; content aimed at minors; and anything you don't have the rights to. We decide edge cases, and our decision is final.
Review, scheduling, and removal
A human reviews every submission before it appears on screens, and we aim to respond within one business day. We may approve, decline with a reason, or offer you a round of changes. We schedule approved content across the fleet and may adjust rotation, placement, and pacing to keep the loop working well for riders and advertisers. We can decline, pause, or remove any content at any time, including after approval.
Credits and payment
Campaigns run on prepaid account credits, in Canadian dollars. Credits have no cash value, can't be transferred between accounts, and aren't exchangeable for cash except where the law requires it. The “spend” shown in your dashboard is credits being consumed as your content plays; it never charges a card automatically. If you close your account with unused credits you purchased, contact us and we'll deal with it fairly; promotional credits are not refundable.
Promotional credits and community campaigns
We sometimes grant free credits, for example through giveaways. Promotional credits may come with conditions stated when you receive them, such as an expiry date, a maximum run window, or one grant per person, and those conditions are part of these terms. Community content from giveaways may be visually labelled on screen so riders can tell it apart from paid advertising, and by participating in a giveaway you agree we may reshare photos and results of your live post, credited to you.
Reporting and analytics
Your dashboard shows performance measurements such as plays, time live, and QR scans. These are FrontSeat's measurements from our own devices and systems; we work to keep them accurate, and we may correct counts affected by errors, duplicates, or device issues. Reported numbers are informational and are not a billing guarantee.
What we don't guarantee
Screens live in moving vehicles operated by independent drivers, so delivery depends on real-world things we don't fully control: ride volume, routes, device uptime, and network conditions. We do not guarantee specific impression counts, placements, times, outcomes, or business results. We run the fleet in good faith to deliver your campaign as planned.
Data
We collect what we need to run the service: your account details, your campaign content and settings, and performance data from our devices. QR scans record technical details (like a hashed network identifier and browser type) to count and de-duplicate scans; we don't use our screens to identify individual riders and we don't sell personal information. Questions about data: hello@frontseat.io.
Liability, in plain terms
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from these terms or the service is capped at the amount you paid FrontSeat in the three months before the claim, and we aren't liable for indirect losses like lost profits or lost opportunities. You're responsible for claims arising from your own content, including rights and consent issues.
Ending things
You can stop using the service anytime. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we can remove content connected to a suspended account immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive (content rights you granted for past display, liability limits, and payment terms) survive account closure.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service grows; when we do, we'll update the date at the top and flag meaningful changes in the portal or by email, and continuing to use the service means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada. Questions, permissions, and regulated-category requests: hello@frontseat.io
